Rotary cutters, seam rippers and.... brains?

I once was like you... an everyday quilter, minding my own business... with stacks of UFO's cluttering up my studio and piles of sacred fabric stash. I can barely remember those days, now they are clouded in a bit of a fog, as all that I can seem to focus on for any length of time is the insatiable hunger for brains.

I think I may have figured out a way to get my quilting life back though. It's worth a shot anyway. I have decided to only eat the brains of quilters, and maybe... just maybe... I will absorb some of the skills and desire for quilting again. If not - oh well, at least it was a filling meal!

I was able to snag a quilter yesterday as a matter of fact. She was coming out of the local quilt shop with a large bag of fabric and a brand new rotary cutter. She wasn't aware of her surroundings, that is for sure! It was pretty easy to trip her and chow down. NOM! Nothing like fresh brains in the morning!

I can easily say that it was a good day! Not only did I eat a gourmet meal (this quilter had just dined on eggs benedict and a sprout soufflé) - but I also scored some killer Riley Blake fabric! Which is even better than I had hoped for, because I have been dying (literally), to participate in the Pat Sloan Mystery Block for 2015! Thanks to my new stash of fabric and the razor sharp rotary cutter, I was able to create my first block! Excuse it's wonkiness, it is a bit hard to sew when your fingers are trying to fall off.

So, I will keep my eyes peeled for my next meal (I am thinking Luke Haynes or Mary Fons might be yummy!)...  keep on stitching and remember.... zombies need love too!
